This song follows the story of a girl named (or nicknamed) Lump. Her life seems to be a waste, and she comes off as someone who is easily taken advantage of.

Weird Al Yankovic did a parody of this song called "Gump," and wrote the entire thing about the movie Forrest Gump.

This was PUSA's first hit song, and reached #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts. (thanks, Bert - Pueblo, NM, for all above)

- Adrian, Houston, United Kingdom

In the onslaught of Seattle bands after the grunge revolution, the humorous approach of Presidents Of the United States Of America is unique. "Lump" is punk in instrumental style, but it is as insanely catchy as bubblegum pop.
