In this nostalgic song, Ringo sings about his life growing up in Liverpool, touring with Rory Storm and The Hurricanes, and joining The Beatles. He left Liverpool to go on these adventures, but he made the city proud.
Ringo named the song and the album "Liverpool 08" to celebrate the city's selection as the 2008 European Capital of Culture. Every year, the European Union selects a city for the award. (thanks, Bertrand - Paris, France)
Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics wrote this with Ringo and helped produce the track. (Read our interview with Dave Stewart.)
