#36

by

The Dave Matthews Band

Album: Listener Supported      Released: 1999

Songfacts:  You can leave comments about the song at the bottom of the page.

This was originally written about Dave's friend Hani from South Africa who played a role in ending apartheid but was tragically shot. However, Dave found this song too happy and uplifting to be about his death so the lyrics were changed to "honey, honey" on the performances. It is almost always played together with "Everyday" because the guitar is the same. (thanks, Chris - Boston, MA)
