This feel-good song was Peter, Bjorn and John's breakthrough single. A year after recording it, the Swedish trio earned the ultimate accolade, a track on a Kanye West mixtape! Peter (Morén: vocals, guitar and harmonica) recalled to The Guardian March 20, 2009: "I remember the first day we played it in a small disco in Stockholm. It felt like every person in the club came up to ask what it was. Two years on, I can look back and see that the song was an antidote to something in the air. It belongs to everyone now, they get their own feelings out of it - it's not ours any more."

The whistled hook was originally added by the trio as a marker for a future instrument before realizing that it was just what the song needed.

Victoria Bergsman, formerly of The Concretes, contributed the female vocals.

This came second in the NME's list of best tracks of 2006, behind Hot Chip's "Over and Over."

This was the opening song on the pilot episode of Gossip Girl.

Comments:

This is not a song.. It is a masterpiece. Makes you feel so good...
