Outta Here

Dutch singer Esmée Denters came to prominence from the uploaded videos on YouTube of herself singing popular R&B hits. She attracted much label interest and eventually became the first signing to Tennman, Justin Timberlake's joint venture label with Interscope. This is her debut single, which was co-written and co-produced by the SexyBack star. It also serves as the title track for her first album.

Denters told Digital Spy about this song, which bemoans a lying boyfriend: "It's a Pop record but it has lots of different influences to it. There's some Rock in there, some urban and a bit of dance too, so it really captures what my album is about. It basically shows all the different sides to Esmée. I'm really proud of it and can't wait to hear the response. It was actually one of the last songs written for the record, but I really wanted it to be the first single."

Denters explained to the British Blues & Soul magazine why she made this the title track of her debut album: "I called it Outta Here because to me that one song in itself actually encapsulates what the album in its entirety is about. You know, it's a pop song, it has a bit of an R&B feel, it has some rock in it, a little bit of dance... So, because I thought that mixture of styles was just so representative of the record as a whole, I decided to name the album after it."

Despite being executive produced by Timberlake himself, the Outta Here album sold little more than 1,000 units, and Detmers was eventually dropped from Tennman's roster.
