Songfacts®:  You can leave comments about the song at the bottom of the page.

Pete Carr put together the group LeBlanc & Carr with Lenny LeBlanc and created the album Midnight Light as both artist and producer. The song "Falling" became a big hit for LeBlanc & Carr. The track was mixed at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, which is where Pete did most of the mixing for his production projects. The group's first tour was with Lynyrd Skynyrd on the "Street Survivors Tour" and ended tragically with an airplane crash in Mississippi on October 20,1977. After this tragedy, and other band problems, Pete decided to return to the studio. (thanks, Robert - Oklahoma City, OK)

Did Lenny LeBlanc sing the verses on it? Please let me know. Thanx! Also, did Pete sing the high harmony in the chorus?

It's a simple and beautiful song. The kind which can state how overwhelming first love can be.

In 1963 Roy Orbison charted with a completely different record titled "Falling"; it peaked at No. 22!!!

Oddly enough, I listen to music from just about every decade and every genre. This one, although heard before, was unfortunately forgotten. While going through a compilation disc on my computer, I ran across this song not realizing anything about the title or the artist(s) and when the chorus kicked in...I heard it before. If there was anything that made this song so beautiful was the chorus's rhythm. It's definitely a song you can take a sigh of ease with and feel a sense of calm. The best part of this song that makes it such a great love song is when you play that with your loved one in your arms. Definitely noted as one of my favourite love songs ever created.

Rachelle, whever you are in life, I will always think of you whenever I hear this song. You were the love that got away...
