Be Somebody

Songfacts®:  You can leave comments about the song at the bottom of the page.

This ballad is the third single from English rock band Enemy's second album, Music For The People. Lyrically the song is an update of the New Wave band XTC's 1979 hit "Making Plans For Nigel." In the original song, Nigel's parents saw their son's future as working for British Steel. Now, according to The Enemy, the 21st century Nigel has got himself a job working for a department store in the city.
The song's music video was shot at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, which is the stadium of the band's hometown football team, Coventry City.
This was used as the theme song for the video game FIFA 10.
