Songfacts®:

  • This song is about trying to get through tough times, in either mental or physical anguish ("on the ground I lay, motionless in pain, I can see my life flashing before my eyes") and looking back on how he made horrible mistakes and how it almost pushed him over the edge ("was it all too much or just not enough?"). But with the special person in his life, he can make it through everything and change his ways ("I will not die, I'll wait here for you. I will survive when you're beside me"). >>

  • Tweak from UsaSounds to me like it's about pushing through withdrawals.
"On the ground I lay, Motionless in pain, I can see my life flashing before my eyes, Did I fall asleep, Is this all a dream? Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare"
Withdrawals suck. Those opening lyrics are EXACTLY what it feels like.

It would appear as though he is getting clean in an attempting to salvage his relationship, but it's too little, too late.
"On this bed I lay, Losing everything, I can see my life passing me by"
"I will not die I'll wait here for you, I feel alive when you're beside me, I will not die I'll wait here for you, In my time of dying"
  • Roach from Nowhere, GermanyThis song sounds like a great final battle :)

I could not add anything to the facts you listened.
