Heartlight by Kenny Loggins

Album: High AdventureReleased: 1982Charted:
24
  • One of Loggins' oddest songs, the title refers to a now defunct private school for kids in Los Angeles called the Heartlight School. The song was inspired by writings of students at the school that Kenny read, including a story called "I like the love." The Heartlight School Singers and Dancers are in the chorus.
  • The song was later retitled "Welcome to Heartlight" to avoid confusion with the Neil Diamond song of the same name that came out around the same time. (thanks, Sara - Silver Spring, MD, for above 2)
