Sepultura vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera told Holland edition Aardschok/Metal Hammer in April 1991: "This is the last and the most intense song of the entire album. It's chaotic too, but a bit of chaos never hurt anyone. The song isn't about my voice as people sometimes think. Andreas Kisser [2nd Axeman] wrote the lyrics and it's mainly about the fear of growing up, the fear of progress and the fear of making the wrong decisions."
