Songfacts®:

  • This track from Australian rock band Sick Puppies third album Tri-Polar features in Capcom's video game Street Fighter IV and was also used in their respective advertisements for the game. Bassist Emma Anzai told Shauna O'Donnell in an interview on the internet radio station MUEN Talk that the exposure opened up avenues: "The way that came about is when we were writing and recording for Tri-Polar. Street Fighter IV came to us and picked 'War.' It was through that, that WWE came to us and asked if they could use 'You're Going Down' for one of their spots. That opened up a whole new audience for us and we were able to go to their shows and check it out. It was really cool to be able to have that kind of exposure and we are glad to have songs that they want to use also."
  • Ever wondered where Sick Puppies got their name from? Emma explained to The Star Scoop: "Shim (Moore, vocalist) had thought of Sick Puppies while we were both brainstorming names for the band and we were still unsure of it so that day he took a trip up the coast to see his Dad back when we were in Sydney and when he met up with him his dad was like 'how about Sick Puppies?.' Shim called me and told me about the coincidence and we both thought it was a sign so we went with it for the time being and haven't looked back since!"
