About the riot at the Century Plaza Hotel in 1967, where President Lyndon Johnson was attending a $1000-a-plate fundraising dinner. A large crowd had assembled to protest against the Vietnam War, and the Los Angeles police ordered them to disperse. Then, without allowing the crowd time to do so, the police attacked the protesters and began beating them with clubs. (thanks, Richard - Los Angeles, CA)
