This sunny pop-jam is a track from American Lo-fi pop duo Best Coast's debut album Crazy For You. Actress Drew Barrymore directed the music video having linked up with the Best Coast pair as a result of meeting singer Beth Consentino after a L.A. show.
The tale of a forbidden romance was shot in the culvert of the Los Angeles River, the location of the famous drag race in Grease. Barrymore told MTV News the video's storyline of two members of rival street gangs, falling in love and keeping their passion a secret mirrors the song: "I wanted to do a story that fit into that, where you can't really tell what era you're in… I wanted to make a mini-movie out of this extraordinary song that moves me," she said.
