Songfacts®:

  • This breathy track finds Perry singing about a love she has for a beau. She understands him, and the pair are so eye-to-eye with each other that the singer compares their relationship to that of a double rainbow.
  • Perry penned the song with the producer Greg Kurstin (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) and the Australian singer-songwriter Sia Furler, who who has also co-written hits for David Guetta ("Titanium") and Flo Rida ("Wild Ones"). The Santa Barbara songstress said during the album's listening party that working on the track allowed her to dump pent-up emotions and gets things off her chest.
