Songfacts®:

  • This anthemic song was penned by Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter of UK pop-rockers McFly. The same trio also wrote the Take Me Home track, "I Would" and Fletcher also composed on his own "I Want" for Up All Night. "One Direction are so similar to us, but they're on a global scale," Danny Jones told Digital Spy. "We had a little smidgen of what they had and we're happy. I'm glad that they came to us because we can give them good music."

He added: "They've had such good songs and we're privileged to be a part of that. For us it's not about making money and being there for a moment, for us it's about the musical satisfaction and we can give that to One Direction."
  • Liam Horan contributed towards the lyrics. They were inspired by the bouts of homesickness, he suffers when on tour. "Luckily, I have my four best mates on the road with me to keep me from getting lonely," he told Billboard magazine. "Of course we all miss home at times. Who wouldn't, being on the road all year long? Wouldn't give it up for anything though."
