Songfacts®:

  • Vocalist Travis Clark told Artist Direct how this song came together after a conversation about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. He explained: "In the studio, we started thinking about things that came in pairs and we eventually landed on what would be a pair with 'We the Kings' and my most lyrical answer was, 'Queen Of Hearts.' That's why in the song there are so many comparisons - Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Da Vinci and Mona Lisa...etc. It's always funny to think about how our songs begin to take shape...but I think this one takes the cake... the Reese's cake!"
