Songfacts®:

  • At nearly eight-minutes long, this is the longest track on I Forget Where We Were. Howard told The Sun: "With that song. I was really testing myself. I wanted to get to the rawest of emotion in myself and put it on the record."

"There are moments in that song that are uncomfortable from me and the listener," he added.
  • The song is one of seven tracks on I Forget Where We Were that are over five minutes long. Howard told HMV.com: "If the content's there I'm happy to go longer. Tracks like 'End Of The Affair' felt like they needed that length. I don't plan those things, if a song feels right, it ends up that length. I do like long songs, I like the journey."
  • The song played at the end of the crime TV drama Power's "The Right Direction" episode, when James "Ghost" St. Patrick breaks up with Angie.
