Songfacts®:

  • Soft Play, known at the time as Slaves (they changed it in 2022) are a garage rock band comprising Isaac Holman on the beats and drums and Laurie Vincent on guitar. This is a song from their debut album, Are You Satisfied?

Isaac Holman told NME: "It's a call and response, me and Laurie just shouting over a post-punk rhythm. The vocals are really cheesy, like (1980s new wave band) A Flock Of Seagulls or something. It's about everyone moaning about the simple things in life."
