Songfacts®:

  • This song is a tribute to Bromfield's late godmother, Amy Winehouse. "There was a black butterfly that flew in at Amy's funeral and it landed on Kelly Osbourne's shoulder," she recalled to You magazine. "It stayed there for the whole service then flew away. The song is probably the best I've ever written and I was crying when I recorded it."
  • Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011 aged 27. Since her passing, a number of artists have recorded tribute songs about the tragic star. They include:

    "Amy" by Green Day.

    "Been Caught Cheating" by Stereophonics

"Flags Of The Old Regime" by Peter Doherty.

    "Alive Or Dead" by Frownz

"This is the Girl" by Patti Smith.

    "Paperchase" by Paul Weller.

In addition "How Did It Come to This" by Take That and "Cryin' For The Queen" by Little Jackie were recorded before Winehouse's passing.
