Central Park Arrest by Lynsey de Paul

Album: A Time For LovingReleased: 1974
  • This unusual song penned by Lynsey was first recorded by the vocal trio Thunderthighs - this version made #30 on the UK charts. Lynsey recorded her own version a few months later as the the B-side to "No Honestly." Police car sirens wail, gun shots are heard and a mega-phoned voice asks, "are you going to come quietly," with a nice bongo beat. The songs tells the tale of a police woman in New York's famous park arresting a flasher. >>
