Songfacts®:

  • Shakira recorded this as the theme song for Disney's animated movie Zootopia. Not only did the Colombian songstress record the tune, she also took on the role of a gazelle that is also a famous pop star. (Not the biggest stretch for Shakira).
  • The song was written by Australian singer-songwriter Sia, along with Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen of the Norwegian songwriting duo Stargate . Sia and Stargate previously teamed up to pen Rihanna's 2012 hit "Diamonds."
Sia and Shakira worked together before when they penned the song "Chasing Shadows" for Shakira's 2014 self-titled album.
  • This was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Song Written For Visual Media at the 2017 ceremony. It lost to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling!" from Trolls.
