Songfacts®:

  • Imogen Heap is an inventor as well as a musician. She created the Mi.Mu gloves, which contain sensors that recognize hand movements and enable the user to make music. Using nothing but hand gestures, the wearer is able to amplify, record, and loop acoustic instruments and their voice, play virtual instruments and manipulate these sounds live.

Heap used her gestural-music-wired gloves to record this song in an attempt to raise money for further research.
  • The song was premièred by Heap on April 22, 2012 as part of Earth Day 2012.
