Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from the first Temperance Movement album. The band, a 5-piece at the time, had many musical adventures on their own before getting together to form the group, and this song reflects the wisdom they accumulated from years of touring while also maintaining a family life.

"We had just started doing a bit of touring, and we were traveling quite a bit," guitarist Paul Sayer explained in his Songfacts interview. "It's about trying to walk the middle between being in a band away on tour and having things at home you're away from."
  • The title really means "take it back home," as the song is about maintaining a work-life balance while keeping your passions for both alive.
