Songfacts®:

  • This moody, spare track takes its name from Master P's New Orleans rap label No Limit Records. The label included on its roster such artists as Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, Silkk the Shocker and UGK. At its peak in the late 1990s, No Limit became notorious for producing lengthy albums that featured numerous cameo appearances by its other artists. The label declared bankruptcy in 2003.
  • Usher declares on the song that when you hang with him there are, indeed, no limits.

    There's no limit baby
Make you say uh, no limit

The lyric is a reference to Master P's 1998 No Limit Records hit single, "Make 'Em Say Uhh."
  • Master P responded to Usher's homage by telling Hip-Hop Wired "I'm a big fan of Usher. To have an R&B artist make music about me and my career—that let me know we did something right."
  • The song features a verse from Young Thug. It is the first time that the two Atlanta artists have teamed up together.
  • Usher did his first live televised performance of the song at 2016 BET Awards which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on June 26, 2016.
