Songfacts®:

  • Big Sean discusses various rumors here. Over 808 drums and whistling noises by producer Amaire Johnson, the Detroit rapper dismisses gossip surrounding his life.

    Look, no more interviews
I'm not talking about this on a song, feature or interlude

Sean's preferred method of communication is person-to person. However, the rapper states that he is dropping this freestyle to clarify the various items of gossip that have been circulating.
  • The lyrics that got people taking were aimed at Sean's one time G.O.O.D. Music labelmate and close friend Kid Cudi.

What happened to our family ways, though?
When I put you on that song with Nas, you had told me that you was forever grateful
And that we brothers, so it hurt to hit the internet to find out that me and you don't f--k with each other
Over a miscommunication that probably could be fixed with a 5 minute conversation, I'm still praying

The lines are a reference to Sean Don's Twitter issues with Kid Cudi concerning his rumored romance with Jhene Aiko.
  • Sean also send a few lines to his former ex-fiancee, Naya Rivera, concerning her tell-all memoir, which she released in the summer of 2016. Sorry Not Sorry detailed the pair's relationship in the chapter "The Best Worst Year Ever:"

And you know the funny thing about it is my ex wanna write a tell all
F---ked up thing about it is she ain't even tell all
Like how I introduced her to meditation, positive thinking
And the books she probably read in daily rotation

Sean questions how it could be a "tell-all" if it only focuses on the negative. He lists some of the positive influences he had on Rivera such as introducing her to meditation.
