Songfacts®:

  • This rap is not to be confused with "Versace" by Migos. In a 2014 interview, DVS was asked: "On your song 'Versace' you state that you were born in Versace. Is that true?"

He replied: "What I really meant was that I've been wearing Versace since I was a baby," adding, "I didn't literally come out of my mom with a Versace shirt on me."
  • Three years later, DVS traded in his fine clothes for a prison uniform because on January 10, 2017 he was given a 23-year sentence for torturing and raping a young woman over a three-day period in what can only be described as a truly horrific crime. >>
