La Dee Dah by Foo Fighters

Album: Concrete and GoldReleased: 2017
  • "La Dee Da" channels frontman Dave Grohl's feelings when he was a lonely teenage punk-rock kid in suburban Virginia. "It's a portrait of me as a teenager, feeling completely alienated and repressed by the conservative environment of the early to mid-'80s," he told Rolling Stone.
  • Foo Fighters debuted this song at Iceland's Secret Solstice Festival on June 16, 2017 as well as playing two other new tracks from Concrete and Gold live as a band for the first time – "Run" and "The Sky Is A Neighborhood."
  • The Kills' Alison Mosshart sings backup on both this song and another Concrete and Gold track, "The Sky Is A Neighborhood."
  • That's smooth jazz saxophonist Dave Koz playing the sax.
