As stated in the artwork for Pump, F.I.N.E. is an acronym for F*'d up, Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotional. (thanks, Amy - Cumberland, MD)
Aerosmith mentions the title in their song "What It Takes": "Girl, before I met you I was F.I.N.E. fine."
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry wrote this song. Desmond Child, who co-wrote the Aerosmith hits "Angel" and "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)," wrote the bridge, which was originally intended for another song.

Another great song penned by Tyler/Perry. The album (Pump) was intentionally would be called F.I.N.E. until Geffen's A&R John Kalodner refused to use it. He felt he wouldn't have an album called "FINE".
