Songfacts®:

  • The British 7 piece teen band S Club 7 was created in 1999 by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. They were Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, Jo O'Meara, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, and Tina Barrett.Apart from recording 11 UK Top 5 singles, including 3 #1s, and the US Top Ten hit "Never Had a Dream Come True," they also starred in a series of BBC sitcoms. These were Miami 7, LA 7, Hollywood 7 and Viva S Club and they featured the band as an aspiring group living in various American (and for the last series Spanish) locations trying to become famous. The group disbanded in 2003.
  • This was one of the biggest selling songs of the year in the UK. It won the 2001 "ITV Song Of The Year" in a huge TV phone poll. It also won the 2002 BRIT Award for Best Single.
  • This was written by S Club 7's regular songwriter, Simon Ellis, and Shep Solomon, who had written for Geri Halliwell.
  • This was featured in the 2001 film The Parole Officer. >>

  • Fergal from Dublin, IrelandMaking a song this bad is impressive. Jason from dublin, ur obviously attracted to people of the same sex, no?
  • Dave from Cardiff, WalesA number of critics noted on a similarity between this song and Michael Jackson's classic "Billie Jean" and Billy Ocean's 1983 hit "Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)". In clubs around Europe the three songs were often played back-to-back as a medley which led to many bootleg versions coming out
  • Jason from Dublin, Irelandgreat song makes you want to dance
  • Rico from Melbourne, AustraliaI think i am the only one to comment on this. And why? Cos I am bored, and at work, and looking for bands who have been ridiculed in the past. Obviously no one has been as bored as me because I am actually looking at S CLUB 7??? Yep this band sucks so bad it makes a texan cyclone look like a pleasant afternoon breeze. This song is no exception
