Songfacts®:

  • This song is track 10 on the album and is only 43 seconds in length. Originally, it had only a blank space for the title, but on the 1998 compilation Nothing Safe, it is called "Iron Gland" and is described as "Unlisted track from Dirt."
  • The song is mostly dissonant noise and bellowing from the band members, but at the very end of the track, someone quickly says "Redrum," which seems to be a reference to the Stanley Kubrick film The Shining ("Murder" backwards). Another reference to this film is found in the song "Angry Chair," also from Dirt, in the lyric "I'm a dull boy, work all day." >>
