Paul McCartney played lead guitar toward the end of this song, which was unusual as normally he was The Beatles bass player.
Paul wrote this while on a 10 day holiday in Tunisia.
Comments:
Paul was originally a guitarist for the beatles - Stuart Sutcliff was the original bass player

It reminds Me about a song by "The Swinging Blue Jeans called "Don´t go out into the rain".

- Steve, Fenton, MO
Whoa. Is it just me, or is it TERRIBLY FIERCELY WRONG that they don't have 'You're Gonna Lose That Girl' in their Beatles list?!?! *panic attack*
- sarah, Pittsburgh, PA
If I had to choose 2 songs from HELP! as my favorites, I'd take "Another Girl" and "The Night Before" over "Help" and "Ticket to Ride."
- Mark, Lincoln, NE
HILARIOUS in "Help!" the movie when in the music video for this George tries to play bass and Ringo plays guitar, and John drums....I love John's dancing as he plays!
- Sylvia, London, England

Pete: Paperback Writer was released in 1966, and the album help was released in 1965. Paperback Writer was written after Another Girl.
- Stefanie, Rock Hill, SC
This was the first recorded appearance of Paul on guitar along with 'Ticket To Ride'. Paul also tackled the solo on 'Taxman' and 'Good Morning Good Morning'. By the way Loretta, there is a bass track on 'Another Girl'.
- Ernie, Kranj
Love this song, I think it's very underrated.PETE, "Paperback writer", was made after "Another girl".
- George, Itaberaba, Brazil
Loved the guitar. It seems as though it is one of those songs that people are really split on. There are only a few Beatles tunes that I dont like. This aint one of them!
- lee, clearwater, FL
The lead guitar is good on this one. I thought Paul originally played guitar before becoming the Beatles' bass player. why then, would this song be the first one Paul played lead on?
- Stefanie magura, Rock Hill, SC
Its OK, not anything I'd reccomend though.
- Ben, Cheverly, MD
Paul wrote "another girl" on holiday in tunisia.
- Rich, Birmingham UK, England
Before this Paul had played lead guitar on Paperback Writer as well as on Ticket to Ride on this album!
- Pete, Sheerness, CA
This could be a reaction to the dumped feeling of Harrison's I need you, once you get over being dumped you find someone else, and you brag.
- Tyson, Ruidoso, NM
Once the "Help" album came out John said he thought Paul's songs were better than his. That's what Paul was to John - a competitor. And a healthy competition it was too.
"Another Girl" was my favorite Beatles song for years and years. I wore out four help albums playing that one song over and over. Thank God for CDs!
