  • This song is about a beautiful and exotic woman who seduces the singer. In both the UK and the US it was known as "Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)." However the song's title and lyrics were changed for different regions, so that on the continent of Europe it became "European Queen" and in Africa it was "African Queen."
  • This won the 1984 Grammy Award for Best Rhythm & Blues Vocal Performance. It gave Billy Ocean his first American #1, and also hit #1 on the Hot R&B Singles/Tracks and Club Play Billboard charts.

This song is almost an exact duplicate of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". However, "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)" is more mechanical; that is why "Billie Jean" is vastly better.Ross - Dunn, Nc
