Songfacts®:

  • Mike Myers commissioned Wondermints to record this song as a theme for the movie. After Myers decided on Quincy Jones' "Soul Bossa Nova" as the movie's unofficial theme, the Wondermints song was relegated to a brief appearance in an early scene in the movie and the first half of the closing credits. Darian Sahanaja (whose name is misspelled in the movie's closing credits) composed this song based on Henry Mancini's "The Party," which Wondermints had recently covered. >>
