  • Steve From Central Mass from WorcesterGreat instumental track from the guy who I think is the king of instrumental rock songs, Dickey Betts. When you list Blue Sky, Les Brers in A Minor, Elizabeth Reed, Jessica (who I named my first child after), Pegasus, True Gravity, Kind of Bird you have an incredible bunch of music. Can't think of another artist that compares to it. Saw Brothers first time at Summer Jam which is now 50 years ago; saw them many times especially the 1989-2014 run. Saw Dickey solo a few times after kicked out of band. Got his autograph while his bus was parked behind the Green Monster at Fenway where he played the Avalon club. But yeah, High Falls is a good ride.

When the pace of the song slows down, hit the wide carving turns; as the pace picks up, carve closer to the fall line. Total ballet down the hill. It just does not get any better. Been boarding to this song for 40 years and it is still my favorite board-riding song!

  • Reg from Kemptville, OnIn the late '70s I bought "Win Lose or Draw" for this one song only. I wish I still had the L.P. (lost at university) as I never hear High Falls on the radio.
  • Barry from New York, NyDickey Betts is the king of the Allman Brothers Band instrumental. This one was released in 1975 on the "Win Lose or Draw" LP. A few years later they had another Betts instrumental called "Pegasus" which was almost a carbon copy of "High Falls."
