Songfacts®:

  • "Bedshaped" was composed by Tim Rice-Oxley about three years prior to the recording of the album. Said Rice-Oxley: "I think I'm right in saying that in hospital when someone is ill and has to spend a lot of time in bed they can become 'bedshaped.' It sounds a bit depressing, but in the context of the song I wanted to suggest old age and frailty." (courtesy: Keenshaped FAQ)
  • Tim Rice-Oxley says of this song in Q Magazine October 2007: "I love this one. One of those songs I don't really know where it came from." >>
