The song is a little vague and cryptic. One interpretation is that the narrator is beginning a descent into something evil, probably Satanism, and his family is concerned. Throughout the song he tells his mother and father not to try to help him. Some lines include, "Tell your children not to walk my way" telling them not to send his brothers and sisters; and "Not about to see your light" meaning he doesn't want to go the way of his parents.
