Songfacts®:

  • On December 10, 2007, James Taylor appeared on a BBC TV program where one of the presenters told him that one of his favorite songs was Taylor's "Traffic Jam." When he asked if the song had been inspired by a particular traffic jam, Taylor said it was one on the Pacific Coast Highway, Los Angeles.
  • The song runs to a mere 1:58 and has naturally become a jingle for radio traffic reports. >>
