  • Shackled by a heavy burden,
'Neath a load of guilt and shame.
Then the hand of Jesus touched me,
And now I am no longer the same.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met this blessed Savior,
Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him,
I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole. Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind

  • Sharon L Dawes from North CarolinaThis is one of my very favorite songs, it touches my heart every time I hear it.
  • Bill Parks from Edmond, OkWhat was the name of the collection that was so popular in the early 70’s? It blessed my heart.
  • Sandra Whaley from Claremore Who wrote the lyrics of He Touched Me?
  • Mark Johnson from MaineIt's strange there are many stories of an old preacher named Hal Davis singing the course to this song for years prior to Bill releasing it. A copy of the chorus was removed from Hals bible in one of these meetings and then a year later this was released. My grandpa said it was a huge stink in there town cause so many knew it was preacher Hals song.
