  • Sunny
Yesterday my life was filled with rain
    Sunny
You smiled at me and really eased the pain
Now the dark days are done, and the bright days are here
My sunny one shines so sincere
Sunny one so true, I love you

    Sunny
Thank you for the sunshine bouquet
    Sunny
Thank you for the love you brought my way
You gave to me your all and all
And now I feel ten feet tall
Sunny one so true, I love you

    Sunny
Thank you for the truth you let me see
    Sunny
Thank you for the facts from A to Z
My life was torn like wind-blown sand
And a rock was formed when you held my hand (oh, sunny)
Sunny one so true, I love you

    Sunny
Thank you for the smile upon your face
    Hmm, Sunny
Thank you, thank you for the gleam that flows with grace
You're my spark of nature's fire
    You're my sweet complete desire
Sunny, one so true, yes, I love you

    Sunny
Yesterday, all my life was filled with rain
    Sunny
You smiled at me and really-really eased the pain
Now the dark days are done, and the bright days are here
My sunny one shines so sincere (Sunny)
Sunny, one so true, I love you
    I love you (sunny)
    I love you (sunny)
    Signin' I love you (sunny)
Yes, I love you (sunny) Writer/s: Bobby Hebb

  • Jacqui1 from St LouisI named my daughter Sunny after this song in 1986 it was perfect because she was sunny. Sadly she died at 33 two years ago even though the song makes me sad I still love it.

  • Camille from Toronto, OhA terrific song, a classic oldie, that isn't played nearly enough on the raido
  • Tp from Indianapolis, InThe last picture on this YouTube video-"Night Train to Nashville"- (before the album cover) shows Bobby singing live in front of guitar-great Reggie Young.
  • Jamie from Nantucket, MaWant to know more (as much as possible) about Harry Yarmark please reply to jamiehowarth@mac.com I worked with hesh in the 80s and 90s and would like to hear more about his success.
  • Michael from Columbus, NcRegarding Brad Wind's statement that this was done to fill out an album: respectfully, he is correct that it was the last song on the session, but there was no album at that time--it was a three song date. I know, I was the assistant engineer (button pusher) on the date. Bell Sound, Studio B. Joe Renzetti did the charts and played guitar as well, which was unusual. I think Harry Yarmark was the mixer, but it could have been Phil Macey or Eddie Smith. It was the throw-away, but it was clearly the best thing on the date and everyone knew it. Sometimes things just happen.
  • Flo from Toulouse, Francecheck the live cover by Jamiroquai... funky!
  • Brandon from Seattle, WaInterestingly covered by the Classics IV. Interestingly, this song ties in with some of their tunes, such as "Spooky", "Traces", and "Stormy."
