  • You were talking and I thought I heard you say
    "Please leave me alone
Nothing in this world can make me stay
I'd rather go back, I'd rather go back home"
But if you believed in me like I believe in you
We could have a love so true, we would go on endlessly
And I know anyday, anyday, I will see you smile
Any way, any way, only for a little while
Well someday baby, I know you're gonna need me
When this old world has got you down
I'll be right here, so woman call me
And I'll never ever let you down

And I know anyday, anyday, I will see you smile
Any way, any way, only for a little while
To break the glass and twist the knife into yourself
You've got to be a fool to understand
To bring your woman back home after she's left you for another
You've got to be a, you've got to be a man

Anyday, anyday, I will see you, I will see you smile
Any way, any way, only for a little while
Anyday, anyday, I will see you smile
Any way, any way, just for a little, just for a little while Writer/s: BOBBY WHITLOCK, ERIC PATRICK CLAPTON

  • Nick from Newnan, GaClapton played the slide in this song. The solo is all Duane Allman. It has his trademark bits all through it. Bobby Whitlock has confirmed that it was Clapton doing the slide parts. I don't need anyone to tell me that that is Duane Allman on the "Anyday" solo. His style and tone are imprinted on my soul.
  • JoshColin Duane is not playing slide, Eric is laying off slide rhythm while lead is clearly duane and so he begin to do his trademark licks around 5:30, so you can tell right away is the first i hear someone say it's clapton soloin.
  • Colin from Ctpmaa@gmail.com, AbEric Clapton does the guitar solo. Dwayne is playing the end of the verses. ie after " If you believe in me (guitar) like I believe in you (guitar). Eric does the main solo and feeds off Dwaynes slide guitar and is playing slide on a stratocaster. Dwayne is playing a Les Paul. The two guitars are distinct
