After a billboard in Indio, California, on the way to Coachella, teased a collaboration between Nine Inch Nails<\/a> and Boys Noize, that project has been confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two acts are teaming up as Nine Inch Noize and announced they will be releasing a collaborative album on Friday, April 17, with the catalog number Halo 38, following the naming convention of past Nine Inch Nails releases and marking their 38th release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor hinted at new music back in December<\/a>, saying, “We are working on new stuff and we\u2019re excited to work on it, and we are prioritizing working on Nine Inch Nails over just taking on every single thing that comes up in the other category.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Instagram post announcing the release also featured its cover art. No additional information has been shared, including a tracklisting, which makes it unclear if the album will consist of material they have been performing live or will feature entirely new music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize have collaborated in the past, most recently appearing together on the Peel It Back Tour and performing a collaborative DJ set. They also worked together on the soundtracks for Challengers<\/em>, and Boys Noize remixed tracks for the Tron Ares: Divergence<\/em> remix album. The track “As Alive as You Need Me to Be\u201d won the award for Best Rock Song at the 2026 Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They could have asked me anything, I would drop everything and do it,” Alex Ridha of Boys Noize said of the Challengers<\/em> collaboration<\/a>. “Nine Inch Nails were always a reference to my music, especially on my last album, where I explored some of that more industrial sound. It\u2019s quite abstract still. I\u2019m so happy. It\u2019s just crazy for me to, you know, tap into that world and work with legends that are also so nice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement comes just days before the two acts are set to take the stage together at Coachella, which was first announced late last year. They will perform in the electronic-themed Sahara Tent on Saturday, April 11th and Saturday, April 18th, and their sets can be streamed live from the festival’s YouTube channel<\/a>. Some tickets for the festival are still available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
