Olivia Rodrigo seems to be everywhere all at once. On her latest album, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love<\/em>, the 23-year-old star has reinvented her sound. Though if you are familiar with her first two (and excellent) efforts, Sour<\/em> and Guts<\/em>\u2014and their sullen and confessional pop-punk rambles\u2014the reinvention shouldn\u2019t be too surprising. Certainly not as surprising as these random facts about Rodrigo that casual listeners may not already know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost Sofia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rodrigo told<\/a> Cosmopolitan<\/em> that she was almost named Sofia. \u201cI actually feel like I kind of look like a Sofia,\u201d she said. Though she also said she wanted to be named Natalie. Perhaps a touch, if not quaintly more pedestrian, for a pop star. Either way, Rodrigo bangers like \u201cDrivers License\u201d<\/a> and \u201cVampire\u201d would likely hit the same if they had been recorded by Sofia Rodrigo or Natalie Rodrigo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Massive Fan of The Cure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The pop-punk Rodrigo offered on her first two LPs may not scream goth, post-punk, or indie. However, the singer is a massive fan of The Cure. She\u2019s performed on stage with Robert Smith, who also features on Rodrigo\u2019s latest album. In fact, Smith\u2019s appearance on \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me\u201d is her first official collaboration. And there\u2019s little chance one comes up with an album title like You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love<\/em> without Smith\u2019s sad epics as blueprints. (And forgive me, but I\u2019ve just noticed the accidental pun in \u201cblue\u201d prints.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
