“I Got Better”<\/a> is an upbeat anthem with messages of self-growth, rediscovery, and perseverance. Though the lyrics are about a toxic relationship, they can represent letting go of anything you don’t need in your life. Of all the things that don’t change in the area, the narrator himself has changed in a much-needed way. The opening verse explains this well with lines such as “I’m still me, don’t get me wrong.
