Her sophomore album, Dandelion<\/em>, has generated multiple No. 1 hits. “Be Her” was kept from becoming a No. 1 on the Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 by Langley’s own song, “Choosin’ Texas”. She held the two top spots on the Hot 100, which is a rarity and a celebratory feat. She’s one of the only artists in history to do so. “Be Her” is currently No. 1 on the Billboard<\/em> Country Airplay chart and has become her longest-leading hit on the chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, “Be Her”<\/a> comes off as an envious track. Digging deeper, that’s not the case, and it becomes more evident throughout the track. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself. Recognizing who you can be, and longing to become that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ella Langley explained this in an interview with Katie & Company<\/em><\/a>, where she also said the song was written in about 30 minutes. “It’s not about being someone else; it’s about being the ‘her’ you want to be. I think there are things every person on this planet would like to see themselves do better as a human being.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
