Working with star producer Jack Antonoff, the band\u2019s dream pop song finds frontman Matty Healy hopelessly in love and, because of it, endlessly in despair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I Need To Remember Your Face<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The 1975 - About You (Official)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tGv7CUutzqU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With his voice buried in a cavernous reverb, Healy sings an earnest love song that musically recalls the pop gospel of U2\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.songfacts.com\/facts\/u2\/with-or-without-you\">\u201cWith Or Without You\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I know a place,<br>It\u2019s somewhere I go when I need to remember your face.<br>We get married in our heads,<br>Something to do while we try to recall how we met<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reverb makes it feel like he\u2019s being beamed in from another dimension. Like some lost lover from another time or another chapter in this person\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Do you think I have forgotten about you?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s always a kind of desperation in a romance. And Healy pleads with the girl to hold on to whatever brought them together in the first place. But if they need to find their way back, then there must have been enough friction between the two to separate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You and I (Don\u2019t let go).<br>We\u2019re alive (Don\u2019t let go).<br>With nothing to do, I could lay and just look in your eyes.<br>Wait (Don\u2019t let go).<br>And pretend (Don\u2019t let go).<br>Hold on and hope that we\u2019ll find our way back in the end<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I\u2019ll Miss You in the Morning<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Warren Ellis, the longtime Nick Cave collaborator, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ML9TkALgQxE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bad Seed<\/a>, and member of The Dirty Three, arranged the strings, which gives the recording a sense of unsteadiness. It brings to mind how dizzying a romance can be. Especially one that teeters and eventually falls apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Co-written by Healy and bandmate George Daniel, the song also features Carly Holt, who is married to the band\u2019s guitarist, Adam Hann.
