“Choosin’ Texas”<\/a> has been a huge hit for country singer Ella Langley. It might just be the biggest hit of 2026, and it also just beat an impressive record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song’s streak on the Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 has continued. And it’s now<\/a> topped the chart for 17 weeks<\/a>, beating Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night”, which was No. 1 for 16 weeks. It’s the fourth-longest No. 1 run in the chart’s history. The song has broken other records along the way, including the longest-running No. 1 for a country song by a woman. It initially went to No. 1 back in February. The song was Langley’s first hit. And although it has been dethroned by other songs a few times, it keeps making its way back to the top. It was originally released in October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the song’s streak continues to 19 weeks, it will tie with \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d by Shaboozey and \u201cOld Town Road\u201d by Lil Nas X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Choosin’ Texas” is also still dominating on the TouchTunes Frontline Chart for the second consecutive quarter. It has been a regular fixture on the Hot Country Songs and the Songs of the Summer charts. It has also done well on the Spotify US Top 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
