The Animals<\/a>\u2019 singer Eric Burdon discovered \u201cHouse Of The Rising Sun\u201d on England\u2019s folk circuit in the early 1960s. He then introduced it to his band, and their cover, including Hilton Valentine\u2019s iconic arpeggiated guitar chords, became one of the decade\u2019s defining songs. Though The Animals\u2019 1964 psychedelic recording remains the best-known version, \u201cHouse Of The Rising Sun\u201d has a much longer history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
