Bowie was amazed by his raw energy and bluesy guitar playing style that differed from most guitar players in the 1980s. Bowie invited the unknown Stevie Ray Vaughan to play on his new album, contributing guitar to six out of eight tracks on the album. Most notably, the title track &#8220;Let&#8217;s Dance.&#8221; The track became a No. 1 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. SRV was not credited since he wasn&#8217;t hired on as an official member of Bowie&#8217;s band. He was mostly treated as a studio musician. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The success of the album helped launch Stevie Ray Vaughan&#8217;s career, as he released his debut studio album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.songfacts.com\/facts\/stevie-ray-vaughan\/texas-flood\"><em>Texas Flood<\/em>, in 1983<\/a>. David Bowie wanted to bring Vaughan on tour, but SRV declined.
