Brett Eldredge's first session with Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk was a totally different style of writing than he was used to. It took him out of his comfort zone, which Eldredge told The Boot
was a good thing. "Daniel was sitting on the floor, cutting out cardboard paper and storyboarding the lyrics we were writing in very strange-looking ways, but it made me think in different ways, and then Ian would hop on one instrument to another, and Daniel would hop on one instrument to another, and I started to feel this kind of new wavelength that I was writing on," he explained.
"And with this song, it was where I was going through my life," he added. "I needed to find that good-feeling song that is more than just a good-feeling song, though - it's an intention."
