Songfacts®:

  • Damageplan was a short-lived heavy metal band formed by brothers Vinnie Paul Abbott and "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott after the split of their previous group, Pantera. Vinnie, drummer of Damageplan, said this song "is about when something you don't expect comes right up behind you." He continued: "It doesn't matter what it is - it could be a situation in your life, it could be a person you know with a beer bottle - it's something that you don't expect."
  • While Damageplan was promoting their first and only album, New Found Power, Darrell was shot and killed by a disgruntled fan at a concert in Columbus, Ohio.
